Key Updates & Schedule

Opened Option Entry Portal: The option entry round 1 can be done at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in, commenced on July 8, 2025. The qualified candidates are now in a position login and complete their preferred colleges and courses.
Final Seat Matrix Released: In Round 1 there are 77,000 engineering seats and 3,350 agriculture seats.
Registration and Document Editing: Candidates were allowed to confirm documents and download slips until July 4, 2025.
Next Rounds: A mock allotment is expected in August, the first allotment-final is next, and Rounds 2 and Extended Rounds extend into September and October.

Verification of documents: In one of the designated KEA centres, produce original documents, get a verification slip and login credentials (login can also be done using a QR on the slip).
Option Entry
Log in at the KEA portal
Go through the seat-matrix and complete preferences of course/ colleges
Lock and submit in your preferences, and download the confirmation.
Mock Allotment: Get to view the possible seat allocation, then given the opportunity to make revisions or rearrangement of decisions.
Round 1 Final Seat Allotment: Get your seat and pay fees. One can freeze and exit, freeze and float, reject and re-homes, or withdraw.
Later Rounds: With eligibility, enter Round 2 or Extended Rounds, where the seat assignments and admissions will be finished by October.

Ensure you have these verified documents:

Log in as soon as possible using CET number and password.
Check the seat matrix and enter the preferences in as many lots as possible giving a priority according to your rank and category.
Follow the August results of the mock and be ready to change options to lead to a better allotment.
Regularly focus on the update of notification by the official portal of KEA on the precise deadlines.
